Character
Development is the process in which characters are conceived, designed,
modeled, rigged, and textured. It cannot be a linear assembly line--
each step of the development of a character can inform any other step
in this process. As a character is rigged and posed, we may find that
design changes are necessary. The same may be true when the character
has a look applied, or after the first lighting passes. It is vitally
important that a character not be considered "done" until it has been
rigorously tested by every relevant department.
