VIZA 627 Summer Short
Description and Requirements

The VIZA 627 Design Communication III summer course will be hosted by Disney Animation Studios in 2011. Students will be exposed to a production work flow similar to the production process at Disney Animation Studios. The students will have the opportunity to interact with Disney artists and TDs from many areas of production. The class will be divided into three teams with each member leading at least one area of production. Each team will produce a 30 second short.

Short requirements:

Each team may modify the story (within the first week)
2 characters
3 animated effects
3D interior environment
Shorts will be fully textured, lit and composited
All teams will be expected to adhere to scheduled milestones and meet production deadlines
Teams will be responsible for dividing responsibilities and working efficiently and effectively as a production team
Each short will be 30 seconds in length
All shorts due August 5th, 2011
