Visual Effects Supervisor
John Murrah
John
has been at Walt Disney Animation Studios for 10 years. He has
worked as Visual Effects Supervisor on the animated feature Bolt, the animated shorts Lorenzo the Cat and Tick tock Tale, as well as the television special Prep and Landing 2.
Prior to this, he worked at Dream Quest Images and Disney's Secret Lab
creating visual effects for a variety of films, such as Armageddon, The Rock, The Mask, Crimson Tide, and The Crow.

Hank Driskill
Visiting
Instructor
Hank has worked for
Walt Disney Animation Studios since 1997, as Technical Supervisor on 102 Dalmations, Reign of Fire and Bolt, and helping out on Tarzan, Dinosaur, Tangled, and Prep and Landing: Operation Secret Santa,
as well as helping supervise the stereo conversion of Beauty & the Beast and Lion King. He's currently the
Technical Supervisor on Prep &
Landing 2: Naughty & Nice, a Christmas special being worked
on for ABC. Before coming to Disney, Hank worked at Digital
Domain on Apollo 13, The Fifth
Element, Dante's Peak, Titanic,
and more. Hank got his PhD in Computer Science from the
University of Utah in 1994, and did his undergraduate work at the
University of Kansas.

Layout
Terry Moews
Visiting Instructor
Terry
has been working non-stop, in the film business, for 25 years (it only
seems like 27 when he stops to think about it), 16 of those years with
Disney Animation and all of them behind a camera of one type or
another. Terry spend the first 9 shooting visual effectswork o n
over 30+ films, including The Abyss,
Total Recall, Lost Boys, Toys, Hook, Defending Your Life, Big Business,
Stargate, Speed, and Batman Forever. Terry came to Disney
Animation Studios to direct and supervise the live action filming of Dinosaur (where he was selected as
part of Dinosaur's Acadamy
Award team for Oscar consideration). Terry served as Layout
Supervisor on Chicken Little, Bolt,
Let it Begin, and Tick Tock
Tale and contributed layout work on Tangled and Prep and Landing 2.

Look
Development
Michelle Robinson
Visiting Instructor
Michelle
has worked at
Walt Disney Animation Studios since 1993. Over the years she has served
in
many different capacities, starting as an animator, modeler, and rigger
on Pocahontas, a modeler and
lighting artist on Fantasia 2000,
and a texture painter on Dinosaur.
She then worked in visual development on Atlantis, an unfinished production
called Wildlife, and Chicken Little, where she also
worked in look development and lighting. Look development was her
primary focus on several recent films and shorts, including The Little
Match Girl, Treasure Planet, Meet the
Robinsons, Prep and Landing, Bolt, and Tangled, where she
groomed and
textured Rapunzel. Before coming to Disney, Michelle
completed her Bachelor's in Environmental Design from Texas A&M
University in 1991, and then continued her education there in the
Visualization program until 1993.
Animation
Doug Bennett
Visiting Instructor
Doug has
worked at Walt Disney
Animation Studios since 1995. As an
animator, he worked on Fantasia2000,
Tarzan, Dinosaur,
Treasure Planet, and Tangled.
He supervised the characters Runt
and Fish
on Chicken
Little and was the
Animation Supervisor on Bolt.
Before he came to Disney, Doug worked on numerous feature films,
television shows, commercials and special projects in Toronto, Canada
and Dublin, Ireland. Doug attended Sheridan College in Oakville,
Ontario from 1985- 1988.
Lighting and
Compositing
Josh Staub
Visiting Instructor
Josh serves as a
Lighting Supervisor at Walt Disney Animation Studios, most recently
completing work on the animated film Tangled.
Prior to joining Disney in 2007, Josh served as Art and Visual Design
Director for Cyan Worlds, creators of Myst,
Riven, and URU: Ages Beyond Myst. In the
Spring of 2005, Josh completed his first film, The Mantis Parable,
a cg animated short completed entirely by Josh which has screened in
over 80 festivals worldwide (Annecy, Tribeca) and won 17 top awards
(twice qualifying for Oscar nomination consideration), while also
gracing the screens of the nation's top art museums -the Smithsonian
Institue, the National Gallery of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art in
New York.
Effects
Animation
Dale Mayeda
Visiting Instructor
Dale has worked at Walt
Disney Animation Studios since
1999. He has
served as Effects Supervisor on Chicken
Little and Bolt creating
effects from flying space ships to explosions and fiery sound
stages.
Prior to working on animated features, Dale has created effects on many
live action visual effects films including Kangaroo Jack, Reign of
Fire and Mission to Mars.
Prior to Disney, Dale worked at effects
facilities, DreamQuest Images, Rainmaker Digital, and The Post Group
creating effects for live action visual effects films, commercials and
trailer graphics. Dale attended UC Irvine as a Computer Science
major
from 1986-1991.
