Recruiter
How did you get started at Disney Animation?

My Disney story started in 2012 as a Summer Intern for The Walt Disney Studios. Upon graduating, I spent three years looking to return to Disney, and in 2016 I got my “YES” and joined The Walt Disney Company. I spent more than three years recruiting for business functions for the entire company, and at the end of 2019 I got to change gears and embark on the quest of artistic recruitment. Disney Animation definitely adds an extra sprinkle of pixie dust to the Disney experience!

Do you have any career advice?

Know what you want, truly believe in it, and take the necessary steps to make it happen! Most of us heard a “no” before we got that beloved and memorable “Yes, welcome to Disney Animation!” Don’t be discouraged, but make sure to be open to feedback and stay proactive.

What do you look for in a portfolio?
  • Your artistic voice
  • Quality over quantity
  • Breakdown of work
  • Variety of shots
  • An understanding of the role/industry
What Disney character do you connect with most?

Judy Hopps! Watch Zootopia, and that gives you an animated reel of my life.

Where's your Hometown?

Compton, CA, the “HUB City!”
