Meet Ophelian

Visual Development Intern
Describe something that you learned from your mentor!

How to package my projects properly, and how to be patient with the programs!

Looking back to when you were applying, and knowing what you know now, what advice would you give yourself?

To have more confidence in what I have already achieved, and take on challenges with gusto.

What will you take away from your experience and how will you apply it?

I will be more experimental with my art, and not limit myself to what I believe is the proper technique.

What are 3 words you would use to describe your internship/trainee experience?

Above and beyond

What are you most proud of from your internship/trainee program?

How many amazing people and artists I got to meet and talk to (plus my own work but the socializing was the best).

What do you like about working at Disney Animation?

The many different people that come together to make something magical is overwhelming, but very exciting! It is amazing to be able to see everyone's perspective and input.

What was your favorite Disney movie growing up?

Brother Bear

What's the most surprising part of working at Disney Animation?

The amount of little Disney toys in everyone's cubicle! It shouldn't surprise me, but it did! It is very cute.

What Disney character do you connect with most?

At the risk of sounding a bit silly: Cinderella. She puts a lot of effort into meeting the world with patience and kindness, and I think that is to be admired.

What is your favorite memory while working at Disney Animation?

Seeing all the art in the hallways the first time, I might have shed a tear or two.
