Stylizing Volumes with Neural Networks

The explosive effect at the end of Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Raya and the Last Dragon" is a fluid-dynamics simulation composed of shapes and textures that reflect the story's thematic design language. This talk is about our use of Neural Style Transfer (NST) to modify the simulated volumes to adopt visual style from reference imagery.
